As of March 11, 2025, the global trade landscape is marked by escalating tariff disputes involving the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China. On February 1, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff on all goods from Mexico and Canada, and a 10% tariff on Chinese imports, aiming to reduce the U.S. trade deficit and address concerns over illegal immigration and drug trafficking. These tariffs took effect on March 4, 2025.

President Donald Trump announced the reintroduction of a 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum imports, effective March 12, 2025, marking a revival of his earlier economic policies.

These and other policies and headlines will surely spill into all area of our supply chain. Pricing on fittings, valves and other supplies are increasing worldwide from all suppliers and will continue for the foreseeable future. 

On another note raw copper prices have risin from August 2024 from a low of $3.92 to March 11, 2025 $4.74

This all makes for an interesting 2025-2026.
